The Role of Carbon Dioxide and In-Rack AirFlow System

The fundamental role of carbon dioxide (CO₂) in plant growth is this: serving as the sole raw material for plants to produce their "food," it acts as the "gaseous fertilizer" essential for their development. Simply put, without carbon dioxide, plants cannot survive or grow.

The following explains its specific functions in plant growth, described in the simplest possible terms:

1. **Nutrient Production (The Raw Material for Photosynthesis)**

Unlike animals, plants do not "eat" in the conventional sense; instead, they rely on sunlight to synthesize carbon dioxide and water into sugars (glucose).

**Formula:** Carbon Dioxide + Water + Sunlight → Nutrients (Sugar) + Oxygen.

**Function:** These sugars serve as the plant's energy source, fueling the growth of leaves, the blooming of flowers, and the production of fruit.

2. **Promoting Growth and Boosting Yields**

Within a certain range, the higher the concentration of carbon dioxide, the faster and more robustly plants will grow.

**Leaf Growth:** Leaves become broader and exhibit a deeper green hue.

**Yield Increase:** Vegetables, melons, and fruits are produced in greater quantities and grow to larger sizes.

**Stress Resistance:** When plants grow robustly, they develop stronger immunity and become less susceptible to disease.

3. **Important Caution: Too Much of a Good Thing (Two Key Points)**

Although carbon dioxide is beneficial, its utility—and safety—depend on two critical prerequisites; otherwise, it may be ineffective or even harmful:

**Light is Essential:** Plants absorb carbon dioxide to produce nutrients *only* when exposed to light. At night, in the absence of light, plants do not absorb carbon dioxide; on the contrary, much like humans, they actually exhale it.

**Concentration Limits:** If the environment is too enclosed and carbon dioxide levels exceed safe limits, plants can suffer from toxicity. This causes their stomata (pores) to close, hindering proper growth and potentially leading to wilting.

Our rolling grow rack can be equipped with the Ventilation System for each tier.  So that either carbon dioxide or fresh air can be distributed to the plants evenly.

The ventilation system is consist of Bellow , Fan and Nylon Dusts.
